Fight between brothers in Warren sends one to hospital

WARREN — Brothers age 32 and 34 were both listed in a police report as suspects and victims after a fight at just after midnight today on Nevada Avenue Southwest in which one brother hit the other in the midsection with a baseball bat, puncturing and collapsing his lung. Neither man was charged.

When police arrived, they spoke with the older brother of Parkman Road, who said he confronted his brother of the Nevada address, over a missing battery charger in their mother’s garage.

During the fight, the older brother hit the younger brother with the bat, ending the fight.

When officers arrived, both brothers seemed to be OK, but the younger brother’s vital signs declined in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Police later learned that a broken rib punctured and collapsed his lung, but he was stabilized at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
