YOUNGSTOWN

Conchetta Rinaldi scored on a pass from Camden Hergenrother with 9.2 seconds to play for a 60-57 Cardinal Mooney lead. Hergenrother, who scored 15 points, made both ends of a one-and-one with 2.1 seconds left to seal the victory for the Cardinals (5-5). The Eagles (4-4) turned the ball over with 35.3 seconds to play, down just 58-57. Rinaldi had 16 of her game-high 18 points in the second half, along with 17 rebounds. Valley Christian, which shot 25 of 70 from the floor, took a 45-35 lead in the third quarter thanks to five straight steals. The Eagles had 20 steals, led by Imane Snyder’s eight. She led Valley Christian with 14 points and five assists. India Snyder, Ne’Syiah Taylor and Taylor Jones each had 12 points for Valley Christian.
