Austintown students win big at YSU Manufacturing Day

Austintown Fitch students recently attended Youngstown State University’s National Manufacturing Day and were awarded new equipment. Makaila Yuschak, 10th grade; and Jazalynn Lopez, 11th grade, took first-place honors and were awarded a desktop personal-use 3D printer and a 3D print of a coin bank. Above, from left, are Colin Smith, Robert Hoffman and Larry Iagullli, ninth-grade students who won second place and received a 3D printer pen for their design and 3D print of an iPhone cord organizer, and Dr. Darrell Wallace, associate professor of mechanical and industrial engineering at YSU.
