American Association of University Women Youngstown Branch is partnering during Women’s History Month with the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown and will show “The Iron-Jawed Angels,” a 2004 film about American suffragists of the 1910s. The film will be shown at 6 p.m. March 5 in the Gathering Room of Ohio Living at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. AAUW Youngstown Branch members also have been invited to attend the 2018 Hall of Fame dinner of the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown honoring new inductees. Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will host a 13-week grief support series through the GriefShare ministry from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through May 1. The GriefShare team provides a safe, understanding place for individuals to move through their personal grief journeys. Participants need not be church members. Each session is self-contained, so participants may enter at any session. Each session will include videos featuring some of the nation’s foremost experts on grief recovery. Sessions also include small group support and a workbook for personal study. Participants are welcome to share stories, but are never forced. Attendance at consecutive sessions is encouraged for maximum benefit. Cost is $20. Checks should be made payable to Good Hope. Scholarships also are available at registration.
