Huge pothole on I-680 damages cars
Multiple cars had flat tires Monday night because of a large pothole on Interstate 680 northbound.
About 8 p.m., police were on scene with six cars pulled off onto the shoulder of I-680, near the Indianola Avenue exit, according to The Vindicator’s broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV.
Police had to place flares along the roadway to warn drivers of the large hole.
A check by The Vindicator showed that at least two cars were still on the side of the road near 10 p.m.
A spokesman for the Ohio Department of Transportation said the hole was being filled late Monday.
