Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Feb. 21: Baked ziti, Italian vegetables, diced carrots, bread, juice and milk

Thursday, Feb. 22: Pork fritter, Brussels sprouts, corn, pineapple tidbits, wheat bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Feb. 23: Breakfast burrito, tater tots, juice, cookie and milk

Monday, Feb. 26: Manicotti, zucchini, carrots, applesauce, bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Feb. 27: Macaroni and cheese, winter vegetables, peas, peaches, wheat bread, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 11 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Feb. 21: Chicken Philly with onions, peppers and cheese on a hoagie roll, corn, Brussels sprouts, blush pears, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Thursday, Feb. 22: Swedish meatballs over bow-tie noodles, roll with margarine, green beans, carrots, fresh seasonal fruit, regular or sugar-free gelatin and milk

Friday, Feb. 23: Lemon pepper pollock with tartar sauce, bread with margarine, wild rice, spinach, creamy coleslaw, peaches, muffin or vanilla wafers and milk

Monday, Feb. 26: Mushroom Swiss burger on a sandwich roll, potato wedges with ketchup, Harvard beets, mandarin oranges, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Tuesday, Feb. 27: Roasted turkey with gravy, bread with margarine, whipped potatoes and chives, carrots, tropical fruit, spice cake or angel food cake and milk
