The Ohio State Highway Patrol Warren Post investigated a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2 a.m. Wednesday on Interstate 80 in Hubbard Township. Alfredo Gomez, 44, of Aurora, Ill., was westbound on I-80 in a 2013 tractor-trailer.
Gomez drove off the left side of the road into the grass median, struck an embankment, re-entered the road, then the vehicle rolled on its side, the OSHP said.
Gomez suffered minor injuries, and I-80 was closed for about two hours. Police from Hubbard and Liberty townships assisted along with the Ohio Department of Transportation and Eagle Joint Fire District. Gomez is charged with failure to maintain reasonable control of his vehicle.
