SPORTS DIGEST Phantoms’ win streak snapped in Iowa


SIOUX CITY, IOWA

The Sioux City Musketeers scored four third-period goals including two empty-netters in defeating the Youngstown Phantoms, 5-2, on Friday.

Ivan Prosvetov made 22 saves in the loss which snapped the Phantoms’ four-game winning streak.

Michael Regush’s goal early in the third period tied the game at 1-1. After Cole Koepke scored the first of his two goals, Michael Joyaux tied the game with 4:58 remaining in regulation. Two minutes later, Ryan Leibold scored the game winner.

The Phantoms and Musketeers play again tonight. The Phantoms’ next home game will be Tuesday against the Central Illinois Flying Aces.
