Maplewood 7, St. John 1

MECCA

Gavin Ainsley and Phillip Smith each scored two goals and Peyton Weaver, Evan Hunter, and Seth Boyd had one apiece in the Rockets’ victory. Chase Walker, Ainsley and Hunter each provided an assist. The lione St. John goal came when a Maplewood player put the ball into the Rockets’ own net. Maplewood’s Seth Spencer made one save on a penalty kick.

EAST FAIRFIELD

The game was called complete after one half due to inclement weather. Abby White, Abbi Grace and Madison Luckett each scored a goal for the Golden Flashes. White, Grace and Marlei Coen-Young had assists for Champion. Emma Gumont had one save for the Golden Flashes and Taylor Mellington had four saves for the Rebels.

NEWTON FALLS

Bailey Adams and Tara Backherms each scored two goals and Grace Wheeler had one in the Tigers’ victory. Brielle Evans made eight saves for Newtpmn Falls.

Marissa Landers had 27 assists and 19 digs for the Cardinals (5-2) and Mariah Farragher added eight kills, Raegan Filipowicz had seven blocks amd CJ Sapp had 22 digs and four kills. Katie Hough had 11 digs, eight kills and four blocks for Mooney.

LIBERTY

Melina Manning led the Leopards with 13 kills, 17 digs, 13 points and five aces. Ally Jones and Zionne Newkirk each had five kills and two blocks. Erica Carnes had 24 assists , 14 points and three aces for Liberty. Kendyl Switzer had nine blocks and Alayna Sines and Breanna Songer each had six digs for the Panthers. Sines also had five assists and three points and Somger had two kills. JV: Liberty, 2-0.

East Palestine 25-25-25, Warren JFK 3-9-14

WARREN

McKenna Griffith was the leading scorer for East Palestine (4-3) with 24 points, eight of which were aces. Oliva Figley had eight kills. Jade McBride and Mady Pickett scored 16 and 15 points, respectively. No stats were reported for Warren JFK.

East Liverpool 25-19-25-25, Howland 14-25-22-16

EAST LIVERPOOL

Mia Pantalone led the Tigers (2-3) with eight kills. Kathryn Summerfield handed out 15 assists and Danni Harigan had 13 digs, nine points and five aces. No stats were reported for East Liverpool.
