Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., will host its Romanian Food Festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday.

Library to host speaker

SALEM

Salem Public Library, 21 E. State St., will host “Feng Shui, Your Way to an Organized Home” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Quaker Room.

The program is another talk in the library’s “Fix It Wizard” series. The guest speaker will be Denni Datillio, owner of Practical Organizing by Denni, LLC. Datillio will demonstrate how to use the principles of Feng Shui to clear clutter.

Registration, is required and may be done online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by calling the library at 330-332-0042. The event is free and open to the public.

College students to lead food drive

GREENVILLE, PA.

The first-year students at Thiel College will host a community food drive from Saturday through Aug. 29, as part of a service learning project.

Students will drop bags off at area homes from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday throughout the Greenville community. The bags will have a suggested list of nonperishable items for collection. Students will return to the home from 7 to 8 p.m. Aug. 29 to collect the filled bags.

Food will be sorted and donated to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry in Greenville.

EEOC to offer program

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Cleveland field office will host a free event about workplace harassment and new online services for filing complaints from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newport Library, 3730 Market St. This program is intended for participants age 13 and older.

Tours to be offered at Barnhisel House

Colette Chuey, Roberta Lawrentz and Shirley Hunter will be giving tours of the Barnhisel House, 1011 N. State St. The 2018 theme, “Back in Time” will showcase timepieces throughout the past. The show includes 50 different types of timepieces. Visitors are welcome the second and fourth Sunday of each month from 1-4 p.m.

Ben Stein to present Skeggs Lecture

Writer, lawyer, actor and political and economic commentator Ben Stein will present a lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 5th Ave.

The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is part of the YSU Skeggs Lecture Series.

Auditions to take place Wednesday

Auditions for the Ghost Walk will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Art on Park, 180 N. Park Ave.
