Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Aug. 22: Cheeseburger, sour cream and chives potato wedges, mixed vegetables, applesauce, cookie and milk

Thursday, Aug. 23: Jumbo beef ravioli, Italian vegetables, broccoli, pears, wheat bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Aug. 24: Beef stew, corn, green beans, juice, bread, cookie and milk

Monday, Aug. 27: Macaroni and cheese, green beans, diced carrots, applesauce, bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 28: Nachos grande, tater tots, corn, peaches, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Aug. 22: Cold turkey club junior sandwich on a sandwich roll with mayonnaise, tomato and onion salad, potato salad, mixed fruit, ice cream or graham crackers and milk

Thursday, Aug. 23: Stuffed cabbage with tomato sauce, Italian bread with margarine, garlic whipped potatoes, corn, pears, regular or sugar-free pudding and milk

Friday, Aug. 24: Pineapple glazed ham, wheat bread with margarine, whipped sweet potatoes, seasoned Brussels sprouts, pineapple tidbits, strawberry or angel food cake and milk

Monday, Aug. 27: Steak sandwich with peppers, onions, cheese and mayonnaise on a sandwich roll, ranch-seasoned potatoes, corn, fresh seasonal fruit, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 28: Orange glazed pork loin, wheat bread with margarine, vegetable rice pilaf, cauliflower, apple salad, pears, vanilla dots or graham crackers and milk
