Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Aug. 15: Meatloaf with gravy, mixed vegetables, juice, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Thursday, Aug. 16: Teriyaki chicken, diced potatoes, carrots, pineapple tidbits, bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Aug. 17: Pizza burger, corn, green beans, applesauce, cookie and milk

Monday, Aug. 20: Swedish meatballs, pasta, yellow squash, green beans, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Aug. 21: Soft taco wrap, pinto beans, corn, tropical fruit, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at seven locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Aug. 15: Fish sticks with tartar sauce, cheesy twists, wheat bread with margarine, stewed tomatoes, creamy coleslaw, fresh seasonal fruit, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Thursday, Aug. 16: Cold antipasto salad, mandarin oranges, sherbet or graham crackers and milk

Friday, Aug. 17: Cheese omelet with turkey-sausage, whole grain English muffin, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, warm cinnamon peaches, mini muffin or sugar-free cookie and milk

Monday, Aug. 20: Southwest chicken wrap, tossed salad with ranch, applesauce, ice cream or vanilla wafers and milk

Aug. 21: Beef stroganoff with gravy over buttered noodles, peas, whole-grain dinner roll with margarine, peas, carrots, mandarin oranges, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk
