The T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League tournament season will continue next Saturday for Buckeye Division anglers with a tournament on Mosquito Lake. Up to 400 boaters and co-anglers will be competing for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively, in the one-day tournament.

Local hunters have an opportunity to assist in reducing the goose population at Mosquito Lake State Park during early open goose season this year. A total of nine blinds are available on a first-come, first-served basis by signing up on the sheet posted on the park office door beginning Sept. 4.
Increased populations of geese in the park have negatively impacted the beach and marina areas, as well as increased complaints by park visitors. Interested applicants should call the park office at 330-637-2856 for details.

Lord of the Range
The Salem Hunting Club, 549 N. Indiana Ave., will have its Lord of the Range marksmanship competition at 9 a.m. Sept. 8.
The club will supply guns, ammunition and lunch. Participants must bring eye and ear protection.
Prizes include custom designed trophies and cash for first and second place. Third place wins a trophy.
The event is open to the public. Cost is $35. Preregistration is required, and the event is limited to the first 50 who sign up.
