DAV hosts trunk sale on Sept. 8

The DAV, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2 “Junk In The Trunk Sale” will take place on Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Austintown Senior Center, located at 110 Westchester Drive in Austintown.
Spaces for vendors wishing to participate in this event are available. The registration is $15 per two parking spaces, one for vehicle and one for selling, and must be received by Aug. 25. Same day registration or postmarked after August 25 is $20. No hot food, soft drinks or raffle drawings by vendors.
There is a limit of 60 double spaces and are available on a first come, first served basis. After your registration payment is received, you will be notified of your confirmed space(s). Vendors may arrive after 7:30 a.m. and must be in their assigned space(s) by 8:30 a.m. No refunds will be given for any reason.

DAV is the Disabled American Veterans and is the second chapter of Youngstown and Mahoning County. The organization is all volunteers, with no paid staff, an IRS 501(c)(4) non-profit ,and registered with the state of Ohio as a charity. They provide assistance to veterans and their families with weekly monthly food pass-out, wheelchairs, furnace repair and more. In addition to offering various services and making community appearances, they also provide free, professional assistance in obtaining benefits and services for veterans and their families that have been earned through military service that is provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and other government agencies.
