Class of '55 will host monthly breakfast
Campbell Memorial High School Class of 1955 will have its monthly breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eat ’n Park Restaurant, 8049 Market St. Classmates, spouses and guests are welcome.
DQ Miracle Treat Day is Thursday
Mahoning Valley Dairy Queen locations will participate in DQ Miracle Treat Day on Thursday to raise funds for Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley.
For any Blizzard items purchased, $1 or more will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Ellsworth School to host 84th reunion
Ellsworth Township School will celebrate its 84th annual reunion at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the VFW Hall, 11397 Ellsworth Road. Attendees are asked to take a covered dish and table service. Beverages will be provided.
Class will celebrate its 50th reunion
The Rayen School Class of 1968 will host its 50th reunion Aug. 24 through 26. The class will gather from 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 24 at Magic Tree Pub and Eatery, 7463 South Ave., with a meet and greet; Aug. 25 for a dinner and dance with cash bar and photographs from 5:30 to 6:30 and dinner at 6:30; and from 8 to 10 a.m. Aug. 26 for brunch at Holiday Inn, Boardman. Steel Valley Cluster to host dog shows
The Steel Valley Cluster will host four AKC All-Breed Dog Shows from Thursday through Sunday at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Judging begins at 8 a.m. and Best in Show judging concludes by 6 p.m. each day. Admission is $5 per vehicle.
The Cluster consists of Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club, Beaver County Kennel Club, Columbiana Kennel Club and Fort Steuben Kennel Association. All AKC breeds and junior showmanship will take place daily with specialty entries. Also, the NADD Dock Diving will be daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, for all dogs (that can swim) for $10 to try it.

Church to host handbag bingo
St. Mary Assumption social hall, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., will be the site for Down Syndrome Association of the Valley’s Designer Handbag Bingo at 7:15 p.m. Friday.
Tickets are $30 per person and include 12 games of bingo, bingo dauber and a chance to win a door prize. There will be a basket raffle, 50-50 raffle, extra bingo cards available for purchase at the door and a designer purse bundle available.

Library to host used book sale

Organization to host informational event
The Columbiana and Jefferson Counties' RSVP will be setting up an information table at the Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Middle St., from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. today. Program information and applications will be available. RSVP is an organization of volunteers who are 55 years and older. Church asks for donations for students
Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, will host its 10th annual August Overflow from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, to distribute school supplies and clothing, serve food, pass out fresh produce and have bounce houses and barrel train rides. The American Red Cross will host a blood drive during the event.
Distribution serves students in Crestview, Columbiana (including Heartland Christian), Leetonia, East Palestine, Lisbon, Beaver Local districts, home-schooled students in those districts, and the five churches in the Crestview area.
To receive school supplies, recipients must bring a report card from the previous school year and/or a driver's license or document showing proof of residency. Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with no registration required.
Donations of good, clean children's clothing and school supplies will be accepted at the church or office through today.
