Judicial court order: Clerk of courts office must move to new facility

YOUNGSTOWN — Municipal Court Judge Elizabeth Kobly has issued a journal entry ordering Clerk of Courts Sarah Brown-Clark to move her staff into the new court facility on Front Street.

The facility, in the renovated City Hall Annex is set to begin business Monday, but Brown-Clark has balked at moving. When asked why today, she declined to comment because of the order, which was issued late Thursday afternoon.

The order says all records must be transferred to the new building by this weekend.

Workers have been moving equipment throughout the week from the current court on the second floor of City Hall on Boardman Street to the new building, which has undergone a renovation to accommodate the court, the clerk’s office and the city Health Department.
