City man faces drug charges after Boardman hotel arrest

BOARDMAN — Township police served a search warrant at a Tiffany South address Wednesday, leading to the arrest of Marcello Sanchez, 39, of Youngstown man on numerous charges.

According to a police report, police served the warrant at a hotel about 9 a.m. They reported finding a two-year-old in a room, who was released to the custody of his mother.

Police also reported finding a scale, straws, a spoon, plastic bags, a bag containing cocaine in the room, and Tylenol and prescription painkillers in a purse.

Police noted the bag of cocaine was found in a spot “which was accessible to the small child.”

Police arrested Sanchez when he arrived in the parking lot. He was arrested on charges of drug paraphernalia, drug possession and child endangering.
