Baseball Old Timers will meet Thursday
Youngstown Baseball Old Timers will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Kramer Field Pavilion on Bears Den Road. Refreshments will be available, and business and golf activities will be discussed. All members are requested to attend.

Struthers High School Class of 1954 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Golden Rye Grille (new location), 10745 Main St., New Middletown. Family and friends are welcome.
Salt Sensations will offer Serenity Series
Salt Sensations, a Himalayan salt therapy spa and wellness center, 1449 Boardman-Canfield Road, will host its Serenity Saturday Series with psychic medium and licensed therapist Jennifer Schwartz-Flack from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Inspiring Minds to host fundraiser
Inspiring Minds will host its 12th annual fundraising gala from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Metroplex Expo Center, 1620 Motor Inn Drive. Former Inspiring Minds’ students will be the Masters of Ceremonies and Deryck Toles, IM Founder and CEO, will speak.
OSU Extension to host gardening seminar
The Ohio State University Extension will present its Mahoning County Spring Seminar: Spring into Action! from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Canfield Fairgrounds, 7265 Columbiana-Canfield Road.
The keynote speaker will be Melinda Carmichael, author and associate director of Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve. Carmichael will talk about making native plants part of a garden and she will be signing her books during the day. Her book, “Native Plants of Ohio” is $5. Participants can choose classes about new plants, backyard fruits, green roof gardening, raised beds, herbs, blooming charts, container water gardens and more.

Das Dutch Village Inn to host open house
Das Dutch Village Inn, 150 E. state Route 14, recently announced its launch as the Best Western Plus Dutch Haus Inn & Suites. There will be an open house from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday where participants will have the opportunity to tour the newly-renovated inn.
Some of the upgrades include new flooring, granite countertops, bathrooms and fresh decor in each room. Once the hotel launches under its new name, guests also will be able to earn points through the Best Western Rewards program, which can be used at Best Westerns worldwide.
Library to host Stitches in Time group
Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., will host its Stitches in Time group from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 18. The group meets the third Wednesday of each month and is for people who enjoy knitting, crocheting, cross stitching and more.

Angels of Easter Seals hosts Easter party
Angels of Easter Seals recently hosted its annual Easter party for children enrolled at the Easter Seals Center.
About 70 children enjoyed gifts donated by the Angels and McFinn’s toy store at the Eastwood Mall as well as Easter treats and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.
