Guns reported taken from East Side home

YOUNGSTOWN — An Avon Street man told police Monday a .357-revolver and a 9mm derringer were stolen from his East Side home.

Officers were called to the home about 11:50 a.m., where the man told them he drives a truck for a living and was gone for several days. When he returned, he discovered the guns as well as three boxes of tools missing from his bedroom.

Also Monday, police took reports of stolen handguns from a car on Redondo Road and a house on Wirt Street, both on the North Side.
