Glenn Johnson out as UAW Local 1112 president

LORDSTOWN — David Green, former United Auto Workers Local 1714 president, has ousted Glenn Johnson as president of UAW Local 1112.

Members of the Local 1112 voted out Johnson in the election that took place Monday through this morning.

The UAW Local 1112 represents 3,000 assembly plant workers at the General Motors Lordstown Complex, Kmart Distribution Center, Jamestown Industries, Leadec Industries, Lordstown Seating Systems, Mahoning County Jobs and Family Services and Infinite Synergies.

If he would have won, this would have been Johnson’s third three-year term. In May 2015, workers elected him for his current three-year term.
