Beulah Baptist Church, 570 Sherwood Ave., and the Jericho Project are celebrating the return to school of all children in the Mahoning Valley with a program from noon to 2 p.m. today at the church.
Free food, snow cones, popcorn and soda will be served.

Mount Zion plans ‘Revival Time’ events
It’s “Revival Time” at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave.
The guest preacher will be Rev. Todd Johnson of Second Baptist Church in Warren.
The revival will take place Monday through Friday with the following guest choirs and congregations: Monday, New Bethel Baptist Church and Tabernacle Baptist; Tuesday, Greater Friendship Baptist (Youngstown) and Jerusalem Baptist; Wednesday, Valley Baptist (Niles) and Centenary Mahoning UMC; Thursday Beulah Baptist and Elizabeth Missionary Baptist; Friday, Friendship (Girard) and Second Baptist Church (Warren).
The entire city is invited to worship and join the revival to pray for a peaceful world. The theme is “Work toward that which has eternal value” (John 6:27).

Registration for St. Rose Church Confraternity of Christian Doctrine begins Sept. 17 and is available at the church rectory office, 48 Main St.
Details required for registration include the name, age, address and phone number or cellphone number to receive text messages of new students, etc.
The fee for CCD is $35 for one child or $90 per family with 3 or more children.
Debut event planned
Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Ave., will host an evening of honor, praise and worship, debuting Shelly and the New Corinthians at 5 p.m. Sept. 17.
The male chorus of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave., will celebrate its 67th anniversary at 4 p.m. Sept. 17. Various male chorus groups from Ohio and Pennsylvania will render songs of praise.
‘REBOOT! Live!’ event
Chris Stefanick will present an event called “REBOOT! Live!” on Sept. 19 at St. Charles Church, 7325 Westview Drive.

Faith and Family Festival
The Faith and Family Festival will be Sept. 24 at Hoover Park, across from Walsh University, at 2020 E. Maple St.
The event will feature Catholic psychologist Dr. Ray Guarendi, praise and worship bands led by Ben Walther and PJ Chavez and Mass with Bishop George Murry, plus activities for kids and teens, along with affordable food.
It is sponsored by the Office of Pro-Life, Marriage and Family Life of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown.

Author set to speak
Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber will speak at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., at 7 p.m. Oct. 6.

She is an ordained Lutheran pastor and the author of two New York Times bestselling memoirs. She also works as the founding pastor of House for all Sinners and Saints in Denver, Colo.
Rosary Rally Oct. 14
The Greater Youngstown Area Public Square Rosary Rally will begin at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 14.
The procession will start at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave., and proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Ave.
In the event of inclement weather, participants will gather at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica.
A Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. at the basilica.

Ministry Day 2017
St. Thomas Aquinas High School, 2121 Reno Drive, will host Ministry Day 2017 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 14.
The keynote address for the day is “Making Present the Kingdom of God” and will be presented by ValLimar Jansen, a singer, composer and recording artist.

St. Edward Parish to mark 100 years
St. Edward Parish, 240 Tod Lane, will celebrate its 100th anniversary Oct. 14.
Bishop George V. Murry will be the main celebrant and homilist with Monsignor Robert J. Siffrin and visiting priests co-celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving at 4 p.m.
After the Mass will be a reservation-only social hour, open bar event from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., followed by a 6:45 dinner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall, 343 Via Mt. Carmel Ave.
Price for the evening is $40 per adult (13 and above) and $15 per child (8-12). Hors D’oruvres will be available during the social hour event.
