Aug. 21

Fraud: An unauthorized charge to a Farmer’s Bank account was reported at a home in the 1000 block of Calvacade Drive.

Lost or stolen property: A dealer plate was lost or stolen at Key Auto Brokers, 5317 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police arrested Nicole Reed, 27, of Newton Drive, Newton Falls, on a charge of theft. She is accused of taking $217 in merchandise, including video games and equipment and clothes, from Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave. A warrant was issued for her alleged accomplice, Phillip David, 27, same address, who fled on foot.

Criminal damaging: Damage was reported at the Austintown Senior Center, 112 Westchester Drive.

Theft: Cash was taken from an auto parked at a home in the 600 block of Mallard Court.

Fraud: Police said $100 was taken from a bank account from a person who lives at a home in the 1000 block of Moorefield Road.

Aug. 22

Criminal trespass: Police issued a summons to Yvonne Buck, 58, homeless, on a charge of criminal trespassing for failing to leave at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Vehicle theft: A 2004 Suzuki 4-wheeler was stolen from a garage at a home in the 500 block of North Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: Two males were seen stealing merchandise from Walmart. .

Theft: Vehicles were damaged and speakers stolen at a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.

Theft by deception: A scam cost a homeowner $508 in the 70 block of Parkgate Avenue.

Aug. 23

Theft: A radio faceplate was taken from an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Maplecrest Drive.

Theft: Fraudulent merchandise returns were made at Walmart.

Warrant: Police arrested Shane Vantell, 19, of Madrid Drive, on a warrant for theft of $227 in merchandise from Walmart. He was released on a summons.

Warrant: Police arrested Brian Boggs, 33, of Annabelle Street, McDonald, on a warrant for obstructing justice.

Theft: A wallet was lost and then reported stolen at Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from Quality Inn, 870 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Aug. 24

Arrest: Police arrested Joseph Gionfriddo, 69, of South Edgehill Avenue, for violation of a protection order.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Michaela Moore, 38, of Placid Boulevard, on a theft charge. She is accused of taking $128.25 in merchandise from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Mandy Sierra, 37, of West Liberty Street, Girard, on a warrant for obstructing justice.

Warrant: Police arrested Melody Ford, 39, of Burkey Road, on a warrant for criminal damaging.

Disturbance: Parties involved say each pointed guns at the other in a disturbance at Mahoning Avenue and Wilcox Road.

Theft: An MP3 player, change and lottery tickets were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.

Aug. 25

Liquor violation: Police issued a summons to Nicole Fenby, 28, of Nantucket Boulevard, for sale of alcohol to a minor at JR’Z Pub, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.

Attempted burglary: A male suspect entered a home in the rear door, but was scared away by the homeowner and a pitbull at a home in the 1000 block of South Meridian Road.

Warrant: Kayla Dean, 30, of Mahoning Avenue, surrendered to police on two warrants, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and using a weapon while intoxicated. She was released after posting bond.

Drug offense: Police arrested Joseph Moran, 34, of South Edgehill Avenue, on a warrant for possession of drug-abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse of fentanyl.

Theft: An Xbox, PlayStation and other items were stolen from Westgate Manor Motel, 44931/2 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 26

Criminal damaging: Tires were damaged on a vehicle at a home in the 4000 block of Maureen Drive.

Burglary: Two bicycles were taken from a home in the 1000 block of Pimlico Drive.

Aug. 27

Breaking and entering: A window was broken out at Bill’s Sales and Service, 5240 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: An ex-boyfriend was bothering a woman with unwanted text messages at a home in the 4000 block of Burkey Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Marc Chicase, 40, of Forest Park Place, Boardman, on a warrant for inducing panic and drug abuse of heroin.

Warrant: Police arrested Jason Kuzan, 37, of Lake Road, Austintown, on an assault charge.

Theft: Two purses were stolen from cars. Two males in a silver car are suspects. The cars were parked at the Austintown Junior Soccer League, 855 Ohltown Road.

Arrest: Police arrested Jason Kuzan, 37, homeless, on charges of obstruction, resisting arrest, and possession of dangerous drugs.

Theft: A cellphone was taken from Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, 655 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
