MECCA

Maplewood improved to 7-0 with a commanding victory over bitter rival Bristol. Pacing the Rockets were Tommy Rink with eight goals, Fernando Matos with two and Evan Hunter, Brandon Stowe, Logan Moser, Nick Gaylog, Cameron Walden and Dakota Ritenour with one apiece. Assisting on the Rockets goals were Matthew Sheely with two and Thomas Dorsey, Rink, Jared Bedlion, Michael Stamm, Tyler Black, Matos and Hunter all providing one each. Phillip Smith had two saves in the net for the Rockets.

BOARDMAN

Cara Higgins scored three goals and assisted on three more to lead Boardman past Crestview. Anna Deeley added two goals and two assists for the Spartans. Jillian Beard scored the lone goal for Crestview.

JEFFERSON

Tara Backherms scored the only goal of the game assisted by Tessa Hanks. Micaiah Butler made seven saves for the Tigers and Jefferson’s Jenna Parkomaki made 15 saves.

SALINEVILLE

Hannah Hayes led Southern (6-0) with 28 assists. Lizzie Willis added 10 kills and 16 points and Anna Sevek had 15 kills and four blocks. East Palestine (4-3) was led by Madyson Pickett who had 16 assists, two kills, four points, 11 digs and two blocks.
