Eagle Scout award

Luke William Bowser, 16, a son of Heather and Aaron Bowser of Canfield, will be presented his Eagle Scout award at a court-of- honor ceremony Oct. 25 at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St.

Luke is a member of Troop 25. Scoutmaster is Kevin Prus Sr.

Luke, a junior at Canfield High School, joined Troop 25 in 2011. He is currently troop quartermaster and has served as assistant and senior patrol leader. He has earned 28 merit badges.

His special awards are Seven Ranges Scout Reservation 5th-year Pipestone and Gettysburg Historic Hike.

He is a brotherhood member of Marnoc Lodge No. 151 Order of the Arrow and participated in junior leader training and a 20-mile backpack trip. He attended the Order of the Arrow 2017 section C-4A Conclave at Camp Manatoc in Summit County.

For his Eagle Scout service project, Luke coordinated the construction and installation of five wood duck boxes in the wetlands of Mill Creek Preserve behind Drake’s Landing in Canfield.

He is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Youngstown.
