100th Anniversary of Apparitions celebration
The public is invited to join Saturday’s celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima for the greater Youngstown area with a public-square rosary rally.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be at 11 a.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave., with Bishop George V. Murry presiding. At 11:20 a.m., the eucharistic procession from St. Columba Cathedral to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, will commence.
The event also will include a public recitation of the rosary. Anyone with disabilities or difficulty walking can join by car. For information, call Connie at 330-507-3880.
God’s Quad Quartet
Zion Hill Church, 14550 New Buffalo Road, will host God’s Quad Quartet, a Southern Gospel music group, Sunday. Refreshments will be provided at 6 p.m.
All Ministries Day
Gospel Temple Baptist Church, 279 Whipple Ave., will celebrate All Ministries Day at 4 p.m. Sunday. Special guests will be the Rev. Curtis Johnson Jr. and New Jerusalem Baptist Church congregation from Sandusky. The public is invited. The Rev. Melvin Brown is the host pastor.

Nurses to attend Mass
The Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will attend the 12:10 p.m. Mass at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave., on Wednesday. The Mass is in memory of recently deceased members. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
Mission 153 will meet
Mission 153, a newly formed ministry at St. Christine Catholic Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave., will host an hour of prayer, Scripture study and discussion for anyone who has a friend or family member struggling with addiction.

The First Christian Church of Girard, 140 E. Broadway Ave., invites the public to its 150th anniversary celebration Oct. 28.
There will be a gathering at 4 p.m., followed by a dinner provided by A La Cart Catering at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children age 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.
Dinner will consist of chicken francaise, potatoes, green beans, salad, rolls, beverage and dessert. Call the church to purchase tickets from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 330-545-6130. No tickets will be sold at the door, and the deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday.
Speaker at Living Word
Living Word Church, 74 14th St., will host Apostle C.S. Johnson of Antioch, Calif., as the guest speaker at 6 p.m. Friday. Kenneth Riddle is the host pastor.
Mighty Sons of Joy
The Mighty Sons of Joy will be in concert at 5 p.m. next Saturday at Bridging of the Spirit Christian Center, 3024 Myron Ave. Bishop Calvin Penny is the host pastor.
Gathering at St. James
Join the St. James family for an evening of appetizers, companionship and prizes at 6 p.m. next Saturday at St. James Parish Hall, 7640 Glenwood Ave.
Activities include a reverse raffle with $1500 as the grand prize, a basket auction and 50/50 drawing.
Women’s Day event set
The Women’s Day Committee of Price Memorial AME Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., will host its annual Women’s Day Celebration at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 22.
The theme is Godly Women Holding Tight to Godly Wisdom. During the service, co-chairwomen will recognize and pay tribute to the 16 nonagenarian members of the congregation.
A dinner honoring the women will take place at The Embassy Banquet Center, 5030 Youngstown Poland Road, at 2 p.m. There is a $25 donation.
