Auditor’s office schedules review sessions on new property values
The Mahoning County Auditor’s office will have several informal review sessions for owners of residential or agricultural property who have questions about their new property values for the 2017 tax year.
Ohio law requires all county auditors to establish current property values every six years. This year’s property values remained relatively stable, though certain areas experienced significant changes.
Review sessions are scheduled in Boardman, Poland and Milton townships.
On Oct. 17, 18 and 19, representatives of the auditor’s office will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Milton Township Administration Building at 15992 Milton Ave.
On Oct. 25, 26 and 27, the sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Boardman Library at 7630 Glenwood Ave.
Sessions at the Poland Library at 311 South Main St. will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 1.
The auditor’s office also will open a reappraisal information center at Oakhill Renaissance Place in the spring after tax bills are mailed.
