MORE HIGH SCHOOL RESULTS and SCHEDULE

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Poland 87, Liberty 34

POLAND

Sara Bury led the Bulldogs with 17 points, 13 rounds and five assists. Poland’s Bella Gajdos scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed five rebounds. Teammate Maggie Sebest scored 18 points. Liberty was held to a combined 10 points in the second and third quarters. Sharda Williamson led the Leopards with 12 points and five rebounds. China Tate had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Austintown Fitch 66, Southeast 42

AUSTINTOWN

The Falcons outscored the Pirates 39-15 in the second half. Sabria Hunter lead Fitch with 24 points. Camryn Constance and Jada Lazaro both hit four 3-pointers. They scored 12 points each. Southeast’s Hannah Schill and Andrea Radcliff were the only Pirates to score more than three points. Schill had 17 and Radcliff had 14.

Hubbard 56, Campbell 52

CAMPBELL

Madison Carey led the Eagles with 18 points while teammate Jackie Alder contributed 13. Marlle Granger had nine points for the Hubbard. Campbell’s Selena Lopez scored a game-high 32 points, but it wasn’t enough. Jamaeka Bunn was second on the team with six points.

Brookfield 38, Niles 34

BROOKFIELD

Bailey Drapola scored six of her team-high 17 points for Brookfield in the fourth quarter and Tori Sheehan had a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Sierra Werden had 12 points for Niles and Emma Dellinger added 11.

Newton Falls 56, Jefferson 35

NEWTON FALLS

The Tigers did a lot of damage from behind the 3-point line. Newton Falls hit six shots from behind the arc. Leah Mitchell had three 3-pointers and finished with nine points. Izzy Kline led the Tigers with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Teammate Libby Barreca had 11 points. Jefferson’s leading scorer was Maddie Hitchcock. She had 13 points and finished 9 of 9 from the free-throw line.
