The victim said he was sitting on his bed watching football when the attack occurred.

He said he did not know the reason for the attack. The incident remains under investigation, according to the police report.

Gunfire in Warren

Residents in the area of Laird Avenue Northeast and Edgewood Street Northeast reported at least 20 shots fired by what may have been a semi-automatic weapon, police said.

According to calls to the Trumbull County 911 Center shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, two black males got into a car and drove south on Laird.

People who heard the gunfire were not sure whether it was in a house or outside, but Warren police found shell casings next to a home on Edgewood at 8:12 p.m., according to the 911 log.

No one was reported injured.

2 shot at bar

Two men were injured in a shootout at the Southern Tavern at 1508 Glenwood Ave. early Saturday, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

Police found one victim lying on the floor of the bar with apparent gunshot wounds. Surveillance video showed the victim was on the phone when another male arrived with a gun.

The two exchanged words and then began shooting at each other. The victim in the bar was transported to a hospital, and police learned later the other shooter called someone to take him to a hospital. Police said both men are in stable condition.
