Notable: The victory over Lakeview in Week 11 was the Indians’ first over a team with a record better than .500 this season. The Pirates, on the other hand, defeated three teams that were 8-3 (East Palestine, Wickliffe, Orange) and all three made the playoffs. Perry also tackled two Division II opponents (Madison, Painesville Riverside) as well as two Division III foes (Geneva, Painesville Harvey). … Girard QB Mark Waid and Perry QB Kolston Brewster have combined to throw for 63 touchdowns and just 8 interceptions. Waid has completed 62.3 percent of his passes for 34 TDs and 3 INTs. Brewster has connected on 67.6 percent of his tosses and has massed 29 TDs and 5 INTs. … Waid has proven a true dual-threat with 1,019 rushing yards and 17 TDs. … Michael Belcik paced the area with 70 catches for 1,350 yards and 16 TDs. Anthony Backus caught 40 balls for 599 yards and 6 TDs while Devin Wilson scored 3 TDs on 26 receptions for 472 yards. … Perry is a problem for opposing defenses having tallied 5,116 total yards on the season. The Pirates have passed for 2,724 and run for another 2,392. Freshman Jaylen Anderson leads the ground attack with 11 TDs and 873 yards.
