« Boardman Neighbors
Boardman High School will soon present its fall musical, ”The Wedding Singer.”
A cast and crew of more than 60 students will delight audiences at the Boardman Performing Arts Center on Nov. 16-18 at 7 p.m.
Based on the popular Adam Sandler movie, “The Wedding Singer” centers on rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, who’s wedding singer magic turns to disaster after he gets left at the altar.
Enter Julia, a sweet and encouraging waitress who wins his affection but she has plans of her own to marry another.
“The cast has been working very hard, 25-30 hours per week, and it shows,” said Director Katelyn Deladurantey. “The 80s are back in style right now, in fact many of the students in the cast already had the 80s band T-shirts in their closets at home. They are excited about the music and audiences will love the energy they bring to the story.”
Tickets are $13 for adults and $10 for students and seniors.
You can get tickets online at BoardmanPerformingArtsCenter.com. Ticket sales on days of performance will begin one hour before the show.
