Annual Sacred Music Festival set for Sunday
Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, will host the annual Sacred Music Festival at 5 p.m. Sunday. The public is invited to attend. Various choirs from the Mahoning Valley have been invited to participate. A free-will offering will be received to support the mission of Mahoning Valley Association of Churches. ‘Dramatic Portrayal of Corrie ten Boom’ set

Administrative officials event at Mount Calvary

National Vocation Awareness Week
National Vocation Awareness Week will be celebrated throughout the United States Sunday through next Saturday.
The week offers those of the Catholic faith a special time in their parishes and schools to recognize and foster vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and religious life. On Wednesday, the six dioceses of Ohio (Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Steubenville, Toledo and Youngstown) will join together as one to pray for an increase of vocations at select parishes in each diocese.

All Souls Day services planned for Sunday
All Souls Day services will take place at the chapels of All Souls Cemetery, Cortland; Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown; and Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown on Sunday. Opening prayers will begin at 1:45 p.m. and the service will begin at 2 p.m.
Tibi Ruslan Duo will perform Tuesday
The North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host the Tibi Ruslan Duo from the Ukraine at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The public is invited to hear their unique eclectic style of praise and worship, hymns, and gospel music. Alliance Christian Center hosts pastor
The Alliance Christian Center, 670 W. Main St., will host Pastor Debra K. Brown from the Harvest Christian Center in Minerva at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Pastor Brown has attended Christian Life College of Theology and Seminary and has a bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology from the University of Akron. She is licensed and ordained through Harvest Christian Centers, International. She will share the call of God on her life with those in attendance.

Lay Leaders of Prayer commissioning service
Twenty-two men and women from around the diocese will be commissioned as lay leaders of Prayer on Nov. 15. The commissioning will take place during evening prayer at the Our Lady of the Lakes Parish-St. James Church, 50 Rosemont Road. Monsignor Robert Siffrin, Vicar General of the Diocese of Youngstown, will be the presider.
Free community Thanksgiving dinner
First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., will host a free community Thanksgiving dinner from 4:30 to 6:40 p.m. Nov. 16. A full-course turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetable, cranberry sauce, rolls, dessert and beverage will be served. The dinner is free and open to the community. This is the 37th Thanksgiving dinner for the community.

Price Memorial to host appreciation dinner
Price Memorial AME Zion Church will host a pastors appreciation dinner for Rev. Dr. and Mrs. William C. King Jr. from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 17 at St. Mark Hall, 3560 Logan Way.
