Women's Rally in the Valley set
The fifth annual Women’s Rally in the Valley will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 at Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road. Women of His Vision is hosting the program, with the theme “Be Overcomers.”
The rally is independent of Victory Christian Center. Vendors will be present from 8 a.m. to the end of the event.
The emcee will be Judith Schenker, leader of the girl’s ministry at Victory Christian Center. She is an officer of the board of Women of His Vision.
Speakers featured will be:
Lynn R. Phillips, manager, funeral director and embalmer at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home Inc. She is a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church and its women’s ministry, and has served on the board of directors of the former Legacy Academy.
Patty Scahill, senior associate pastor of Touch Heaven Canfield Church, has more than 35 years of work in ministry. She is the founder of Patty Scahill Ministries. She speaks at local and national conferences, seminars, and on television programs. She has published three books and is a freelance writer and columnist, with her work featured regularly in the religion section of The Vindicator.
Pat Sciaretta, director of social services at the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, has worked there for eight years. She is passionate about helping the homeless and addicted. She is a member of Metro Assembly of God, and is married with three children.
Martha Taylor is a member of Metro Assembly and its pastoral staff, and is a leader of the missionary department and women’s ministry. She has participated in missions trips to Jamaica, El Salvador and Kenya. She is a former teacher for Youngstown City Schools, and served as a pastor in Campbell for 22 years.
Admission is $15 before the event and $20 at the door. Lunch is included.
