Alzheimer's Association to host fundraising dinner

The Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter will host its annual “Paint the Night Purple” benefit dinner and auction April 6 at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour to be followed by dinner at 6:30.

Tickets are $100 and are available at or by contacting Helen Paes, community development coordinator, at or 330-533-3300.

Sponsors of the event are Stadium GM and Briarfield Health Care Center. Jess Briganti, 21 WFMJ-TV weather anchor, will return as mistress of ceremonies, and Chris Roman of Roman Auctioneers, will oversee the live auction.

Auction items include Florida condo trips, sports memorabilia and tickets, dining experiences and a drawing for a piece of jewelry from Komara Jewelers.

Entertainment will be provided by the John Reese Project, and a silent auction will take place featuring bidding using the bidders’ mobile devices. Cocktail attire is requested.

Nearly 16,000 people in the Mahoning Valley are living with Alzheimer’s. This chapter offers support to individuals and their families through a variety of direct services and programs.
