24-Hour Theater event at Top Hat


Top Hat Productions will present a 24-Hour Theater event, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4, at its home in the Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown Poland Road.

Anyone wishing to become a cast member is invited to audition with a one-minute prepared monologue. Later that evening, writers will develop an original 10-15 minute play. Actors and directors will then spend the next day (Saturday) getting acquainted with the script. The end result will unfold at 8 p.m. Aug. 5, when an audience will witness the theater that has been created. Admission to the show is $5.

Hands-On History event at the Tyler


The Mahoning Valley Historical Society will present a free Hands-On History open house Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Tyler History Center, 325 W. Federal St., downtown.

Senior Fun Days at Boardman Park


Luau Senior Fun Days will take place Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Lariccia Family Community Center at Boardman Park. Fee is $2 and includes lunch, bingo, music and dancing.
