“The 2017 ESPYS” (8 p.m., ABC): Since leaving behind the rigors of the NFL, former quarterback Peyton Manning apparently has a lot of time on his hands. So why not host the glitzy awards show that annually rounds up top athletes and celebrities to commemorate the past year in sports? In addition to the usual prizes for standout teams and achievements, the 25th “ESPYS” will honor the late Eunice Kennedy Shriver with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award for her work in creating the Special Olympics.

“Salvation” (9 p.m., CBS): And you thought you were having a bad day. In the new suspense thriller “Salvation,” an MIT grad student (Charlie Rowe) learns that a giant asteroid is just a few months away from colliding with Earth.

“Suits” (9 p.m., USA): As the popular legal drama “Suits” returns for its seventh season, Mike returns to the firm as Harvey takes the reins. Will things change between the guys now that Mike is a legit lawyer?

Loretta Lynn show at Packard canceled

WARREN

The Dec. 2 Loretta Lynn concert at Packard Music Hall has been canceled. Ticket holders can get a refund at the point of purchase, according to a news release from promoter JAC Management.

The concert by the country music icon was originally scheduled for June 9 but was moved back after Lynn suffered a stroke in May.

Monster trucks return to Covelli

The Toughest Monster Trucks tour will return to Covelli Centre Feb. 2 and 3. Tickets go on sale Friday at ticketmaster.com, the Covelli box office and by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Until Aug. 20, select tickets will be $5 off and all tickets purchased will come with a free pit pass, regardless of price level.

Khalifa-Puth video is YouTube leader

Wiz Khalifa’s video for “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth is now YouTube’s most-watched video of all time, with more than 2.896 billion views Tuesday. That’s about 2 million more than the previous leader, the video for Korean rapper Psy’s 2012 smash “Gangnam Style.” Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” sits in third place, 250 million views behind.
