Free seminar on the root of headaches
A free seminar on natural ways to address the root cause of headaches, including migraines, menstrual migraines, tension headaches, and cluster headaches, is offered at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ohio Naturopathic Wellness Center in Boardman, 755 Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite D3, Boardman, Southbridge West Complex.

Cyclist injury prevention workshop
The Center for Physical Health, 4137 Boardman-Canfield Road, Suite 104, is teaming up with Liv Ambassador, Amy Pagac, to offer a free workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday on injury prevention for cyclists. The class, led by Marybeth Romeo, licensed physical therapist, focuses on teaching the best ways to manage and prevent pain for occasional and avid cyclists.

The Mercy Health – Youngstown Mobile Mammogram van is offering mammograms at several locations in Mahoning Valley in July. The MammoVan features private changing rooms and female technologists who perform the safe, painless low-dose X-ray with state-of-the-art equipment. Early detection of breast cancer is one of the keys to treatment and long-term survival. Women 40 and older should have an annual mammogram.
The van will provide mammograms on today from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Cortland Primary Care, 421 S. High St., Cortland, and 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Joe’s at the Mall, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles; and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Vienna Primary Care, 341 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, Vienna, and 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Church Hill Primary Care, 4694 Belmont Ave., Liberty.

The July-August-September immunization clinic schedule, offered by the Warren City Health Department, 258 E. Market St., Suite 327, is 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday and July 24; Aug. 7 and 28; and Sept 11 and 25. Special clinics are from 8 a.m. to noon on Aug. 17 and Sept. 21.
No appointment is needed. However, the child should be well and free of fever, rash or illness and an updated shot record is required. The cost is $21.25. Some insurances are accepted. Clients should bring their insurance cards. For information, call 330-841-2596.
A comprehensive blood screening, sponsored by Salem Regional Medical Center’s Laboratory Services and Family Health Care of Columbiana County, is July 22. Screenings are available by appointment only at Family Health Care of Columbiana County’s Salem office, 166 Vine Ave. The cost is $40.
Comprehensive blood screenings can help to identify many health problems in their earliest stages when they are most treatable, and may detect conditions such as high cholesterol, anemia and other disorders. Participants may add a prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening to their comprehensive panel for an additional $10, or a HgA1C diabetes screening for an additional $25.
