Today’s entertainment picks:

v Toughest Monster Trucks Tour, 7:30 p.m.: The legendary Bigfoot and pals will crush some cars and do their thing at Covelli Centre ($12 to $21); ticketmaster.com or 1-800-745-3000.

v “Big Fish,” 7:30 p.m.: The Mahoning Valley premiere of the musical ($17.50, plus fees; $15.50 for seniors) is being produced by Top Hat Productions at Fairview Arts and Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road, Youngstown; 800-838-3006.

v Black History Month one-acts, 7:30 p.m.: Victorian Players present “Harriet Tubman Visits a Therapist” and “Mason-Dixon” ($13, $10 for seniors and children). The theater is at 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.

v “Sondheim in Love,” 7:30 p.m.: The love songs of musical theater icon Stephen Sondheim are woven into this evening of music ($15, $13 for seniors, $10 for children) in the Moyer Room of the Youngstown Playhouse; 330-788-8739.

v Family & Friends Hall show, 9 p.m.: The grand opening variety show ($5) of this new venue will feature comedian Eye Holla, the Matrix Band and DJ Greg. The BYOB event will include line dancing and a free buffet. It’s at 2208 South Ave., Youngstown.

“Grimm” (8 p.m., NBC): As the final season of “Grimm” continues, a new Wesen with a deadly hunger is unearthed after lying dormant for seven years. Meanwhile, Nick, Hank and Wu investigate a bizarre murder in a local park.

“Studio C Sessions” (9 p.m., Western Reserve PBS): Cloud Nothings and the Marcus King Band are the guest bands in this intimate performance series.

Mad About the Arts tickets are on sale

YOUNGSTOWN

The 22nd annual Mad About the Arts event will be Feb. 17 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the McDonough Museum of Art on the YSU campus.

The evening of contemporary art, music, dance, wine tasting and food sampling benefits the McDonough Museum of Art, YSU’s Center for Contemporary Ideas, Art, Education and Community and 88.5 WYSU-FM, the Valley’s public radio station.

Music will begin with a jazz ensemble led by Kent Engelhardt, followed by the Sensations. Guests can sample wines and beverages from A&C Beverage, Markko Vineyard, Pressed Coffee Bar & Eatery and Thirsty Dog Brewing Company. Aladdin’s, Cassese’s MVR, Inspired Catering by Kravitz, and Rulli Bros. have prepared menus just for this event.

For dessert, chocolates and sweets are being provided by Giannios Candy, Jimmy’s Italian Specialities, One Hot Cookie and Cafe Augustine.

In the galleries are two exhibitions: “Alex Webb: La Calle Photographs from Mexico” and “Selections from the Collection of the Richard M. Ross Art Museum, Ohio Wesleyan University.”
