Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Jan. 3: Meatloaf with gravy, mixed vegetables, juice, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Thursday, Jan. 4: Teriyaki chicken, diced potatoes, carrots, pineapple tidbits, bread, cookie and chocolate milk

Friday, Jan. 5: Pizza burger, corn, green beans, applesauce, cookie and milk

Monday, Jan. 8: Swedish meatballs, pasta, yellow squash, green beans, wheat bread, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Jan. 9: Soft taco wrap, pinto beans, corn, tropical fruit, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 11 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or older. Reservations must be made two working days in advance, by 2 p.m. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make reservations or for information, call 330-675-2486. The office is at 2959 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.

Wednesday, Jan. 3: Barbecued beef ribette on a bun, cheesy hashbrowns, broccoli, mandarin oranges, brownie or angel food cake and milk

Thursday, Jan. 4: Lemon pepper pollock, wheat bread with margarine, wild rice, spinach, creamy coleslaw, peaches, mini loaf or vanilla wafers and milk

Friday, Jan. 5: Baked ham with raisin sauce, bread with margarine, mashed sweet potatoes, cauliflower, pineapple tidbits, regular or sugar-free gelatin and milk

Monday, Jan. 8: Baked salmon with teriyaki glaze, wheat bread with margarine, brown rice, island vegetable blend, sweet and sour coleslaw, apricots, regular or sugar-free pudding and milk

Tuesday, Jan. 9: Roasted turkey with gravy, wheat bread with margarine, whipped potatoes with chives, sweet peas, tropical fruit, spice cake or angel food cake and milk
