Earth, Wind and Fire will return to Covelli Centre

YOUNGSTOWN —Earth, Wind and Fire will return to Covelli Centre on March 16 for a 7:30 p.m. concert.

Tickets are $45.50, $55.50, $65.50 and $95.50 (plus applicable fees) and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at, by phone at 800-745-3000 and at the Covelli box office.

Earth, Wind & Fire is one of the world’s top selling musical groups, has garnered eight Grammy Awards, and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The vocal act has sold close to 100 million albums and has recorded eight No. 1 singles.

Its hits include “Shining Star,” “September,” “That’s the Way of the World,” “Let’s Groove,” “Sing a Song,” “Boogie Wonderland,” “ After the Love Has Gone,” “Getaway,” “Saturday Night” and “Reasons.”

Founding members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson still pace the band on its world tour.

The act has also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (1995) and Hollywood’s Rockwalk (2003), and has been inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Earth Wind & Fire last played in Youngstown in 2012, when it came to Covelli Centre for a concert that included the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra.
