Poland Relay for Life hits goal for second year
The Poland Relay for Life has hit its fundraising goal two years in a row. In 2016, the Poland Relay for Life hit its goal of $53,000. This year’s goal was $55,000 and the 2017 Poland Relay for Life hit this mark by earning $55,163. The relay had until Aug. 31 to reach this goal, and through several generous donations and fundraising incentives, they were successful. The Poland Relay for Life leadership and teams thank all communities, sponsors, supporters, families and friends for making this possible. The Poland Relay for Life is now making big plans for next year’s event. The 2018 theme will be “Luau for Life.” This celebration of life, sand and surf will feature a luau for the survivors and caregivers, and fun tropical activities throughout the event. Every team will select a tropical island as their own inspiration. The date of the 2018 Poland Relay for Life will be announced in a few months. Sept. 1 is the beginning of the 2018 relay season, and the Poland Relay for Life hopes to sign up several new teams to help them hit their goal for a third year. Anyone wishing to start a team should contact Kim Deemer at 330-423-8941.
