FBI still on lookout for 3 drug suspects
The FBI is still looking for three more suspects wanted in connection with a heroin and cocaine trafficking investigation.
Federal and local authorities have now arrested 18 people who were indicted this week in three separate investigations into to the drug trade in the Youngstown and Ravenna areas.
The FBI announced on Thursday that 33-year-old Cornell Kennedy of Youngstown has been taken into custody, said 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
Still at-large are Qeevys Clinkscale, 26, of Cleveland, as well as Shajehan Haywood, 45, and Terrell Leonard, 38, both of Youngstown.
Leonard is named in two of the indictments. Authorities accuse Leonard and Heywood as acting as middlemen in the alleged heroin-sale conspiracy.
Boardman cops probe suspected crack, pipes
Township police are investigating possible drugs and drug paraphernalia found at a Market Street motel Wednesday, according to a police report.
According to the report, police were called to the Travelers Inn about 3:45 p.m. in reference to a drug investigation.
A maintenance worker told police that while doing routine room inspections, he found suspected crack cocaine scattered across a bed, floor and night stand of one room, according to the report.
He also reported finding two suspected crack pipes sitting on a shelf. The room’s resident was not present at the time and no arrest was made.
