Racino March VLT revenue up 13.5 percent

Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course saw a 13.5 percent year-over-year increase in March video lottery terminal revenue, according to the Ohio Lottery Commission.

Total revenue in March 2017 was $10,101,262 with an average number of 988 video lottery terminals or slot machines. In March 2016, total revenue was $8,893,141 with an average of 940 slot machines.

All seven racinos saw an 11 percent increase in slot-machine revenue in March. They brought in $87,545,661 in revenue with an average of 10,871 slot machines in March 2017. In comparison, racinos brought in $78,614,917 with an average of 10,564 slot machines.

The state’s four casinos brought in $75,442,367 in March 2017, which compares with $73,714,426 generated in March 2016, according to the Ohio Casino Control Commission.
