Free performances at Butler museum

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown State University Dana School of Music will present free Music at Noon performances at 12:15 p.m. every Wednesday in April at the Butler Institute of American Art, 524 Wick Ave. Here is the schedule:

Wednesday: Piano

April 12: Saxophone Studio

April 19: Guitar Studio

April 26: Clarinet Studio

Due to the reconstruction of Wick Avenue, guests can park in the Wick Avenue deck, accessed via Walnut Street.

Model train show and sale scheduled

SALEM

The Youngstown Model Railroad Association will present a toy train and model railroad flea market on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Salem Center Plex, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave. It will feature items in all gauges of model railroads, memorabilia and railroad-related items, with more than 200 dealer tables and unlimited free parking. Admission is $5.

Trash, treasure sale at the Saxon Club

AUSTINTOWN

The Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will have a trash and treasure sale Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ballroom. German sausage sandwiches, hot dogs and sauerkraut, and chicken dumpling soup will be available.

Eastern European culture celebrated

YOUNGSTOWN

The American Slovak Cultural Association of the Mahoning Valley will celebrate Eastern European Month on Saturday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave. Admission is free. Representatives from ethnic groups will display items and speak about people who have made a contribution to the Valley.
