Boar’s Head Group of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve chicken dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.


Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 is sponsoring a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown. Beverages will be included in the cost of $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 US Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. French toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple syrup or apples, scrambled eggs, eggs with peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk will be available. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.

St. Joseph the Provider School will serve a stuffed cabbage dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school in St. Anthony of Padua Church complex, Brier Hill, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown. The menu includes mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, dessert and coffee. The cost is $10 per dinner. Takeout is available. The Jack Vasko Orchestra will provide music. St. Mary Church, 3504 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will host a pancake, french toast, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 11 and free to ages 4 and under. For takeouts call 330-652-8319.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts from 8 a.m. to noon sponsored by the auxiliary. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. Menu items are eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.


Queen of the Holy Rosary, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will host a stuffed cabbage takeout dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 15. The menu includes mashed potatoes, green beans and applesauce for $9. One dozen stuffed cabbage will be sold for $18 or six for $9. Order by Oct. 10 by calling 330-856-4204 Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.


Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Route 224, Poland, will serve a takeout cavatelli dinner Oct. 5 from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. It includes two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and cookies for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball will be available for $5. Pasta fagioli for $6 per quart and pasta sauce for $5 per quart will be for sale. Place your order, remain in your car and your order will be delivered to you.
