Jenna Cicchillo named Medical Alliance Gem of the Year

Mahoning County Medical Society Alliance named Jenna Cicchillo Gem of the Year at a dinner Sept. 7 at The Fifth Floor Restaurant. The annual award is presented to a member who serves both the Alliance and the community with distinction.
Cicchillo graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, an associate degree in allied health and a master’s degree in nursing. She is an adult nurse practitioner for Eastern Ohio Pulmonary Consultants Inc., Boardman. She has been a member of the organization since 2010 and has served in positions including secretary, vice president and the 2014-2015 president.
During her presidential term she helped raise more than $10,000 for the Midlothian Free Health Clinic and The Beatitude House. She initiated the Alliance’s annual Charity Beer Taste in 2015 and served on the annual charity fashion committee.
She is a member of the Akron Children’s Kids Crew and Together with Important Goals (TWIGS) craft program at Akron Children’s Hospital. She also is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American College of Chest Physicians.
Cicchillo and her husband, Dr. Michael Cicchillo, live in Boardman with their twin sons, Michael and Sam.
As part of the Gem of the Year award, the Alliance will donate $100 to the charity of the recipient’s choice. Cicchillo chose the YMCA Youth Basketball Program.
The Alliance also presented the Golden Gem of the Year award to Dr. A. William Geordan in honor of his late wife, Camilla.
