Rust Belt presents ‘Nevermore’

David Cirelli and Heather Powell are shown in a scene from Rust Belt Theater Company’s original musical “Nevermore.” The show, written by Rust Belt director Robert Dennick Joki and Josh Taylor, is based on the writing of Edgar Allan Poe. It will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again Sept. 23, 24 and 30, at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown. The story centers around the inmates of an insane asylum and intertwines more than 20 of Poe’s short stories and poems into the plot. The cast includes Kage Coven, Mary James, James Hain, Hunter Thomas, Jessica Patoray, Tracy McQuillan, Tom O’Donnell, Elizabeth Burnette, Cirelli, Marisa Zamary, Beth Farrow, Celena Coven, Powell, Nicole Zayas, Lisa Torrence, Lynn Sabeh and Joki.
