Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is located at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.


Wednesday, Sept. 14: Dinner loaf, potatoes with gravy, corn, dried fruit, cookie, bread and milk

Thursday, Sept. 15: Chicken breast, seasoned potatoes, green beans, applesauce, cookie, bread and milk

Friday, Sept. 16: Pirogis, carrots, broccoli, dried fruit, juice, cookie and milk

Monday, Sept. 19: Omelet, tater tots, dried fruit, orange juice, cookie and milk

Tuesday, Sept. 20: Chicken patty, sweet potatoes, gravy, blend vegetables, applesauce, juice, cookie and milk


The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 11 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for more information, call 330-675-2486. Wednesday, Sept. 14: Baked meatloaf with gravy, whipped potatoes, green beans with mushrooms, dinner roll with margarine, mixed fruit, regular or sugar-free pudding and milk

Thursday, Sept. 15: Pepper steak with peppers, onions and tomatoes, white rice, sliced carrots, Italian bread with margarine, applesauce, ice cream or vanilla wafers and milk

Friday, Sept. 16: Baked pollock filet with cream lemon sauce, redskin potatoes, , Harvard beets, wheat bread with margarine, mandarin oranges, angel food cake and milk

Monday, Sept. 19: Roast beef with gravy, whipped potatoes, broccoli, dinner roll with margarine, pineapple, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Tuesday, Sept. 20: Chicken breast Parmesan, penne with sauce, Italian vegetable blend, tossed salad with Italian dressing, Italian bread with margarine, fresh fruit, regular or sugar-free gelatin and milk
