Women's club to host trash, treasure sale

POLAND

Poland Junior Women’s Club is preparing for its annual trash, treasure and bake sale on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2985 Center Road.

PJWC is dedicated to serving the community of Poland. The club was established in 1980 as an offshoot of the Poland Women’s Club. PJWC coordinates and organizes various community events, including the summer concerts at the Town Hall Gazebo, the annual Halloween parade, the Easter egg hunt, and the Lighting of the Village in December.

All funds raised are used to provide scholarships to two Poland High School graduates, sponsorship of needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and other projects for the beautification and progress of the Poland Community.
