BOOKS DIGEST - Short-fiction day to be observed

Short-fiction day to be observed

SALEM

Area short story writers who would like a chance to read their work aloud are invited to be part of “Celebrate Short Fiction” Day from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 21 at Courtyard Square, 645 E. State St.

Nancy Christie, author of “Traveling Left of Center and Other Stories,” will host. Local fiction writers will have the opportunity to share their work. Those reading may also sell their own books during the event.

A limited number of spaces at $10 each are available for those authors who aren’t reading but would like to sell their books (sellers must bring their own tables, limited to 6 feet). Space reservations are required and must be paid in advance. Call Courtyard Square at 804-513-8027 or send email to lisacahill@mac.com. Checks are to be made out to CI Ohio LTD and authors will be responsible for their own sales.

To register as a participant, contact Christie at nancy@nancychristie.com.
