Tyler Jones, who threw for 418 yards and four touchdowns for Texas State, caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from halfback L.G. Williams to start the third overtime and then slipped a shovel pass to Gabe Schrade for two points and the win. Texas State’s Marcus Ripley kicked his first collegiate field goal from the 27 as the clock clicked to zero to send the game into overtime.
